Organic White Peony (Loose Leaf) tea from ZhengHe County in the Fujian Province of China. The tea farm is located high on the mountain and is covered by the surrounding forest in the area.
White Peony tea uses the hand plucked bud plus the first two lives of spring growth on the Camellia sinensis plant.
Although this tea originates from the Camellia sinensis plant, the inspiration for its name comes from the resemblance of its infused leaves to the white peony flower. As the tea steeps in water, the legend has it, the leaves take on the delicate appearance of the flowers.
